MHDA- introducing new ways to drive your life.
We participate in agricultural, historical and social events in Putnam, Dutchess and Ulster counties, as well as some surrounding areas. We host "Intro"clinics for the general public as well as "Skills" clinics for our competition focused members. We celebrate the seasons with summer "Ride and Drive" picnics, autumn Square Dances and an annual winter Holiday party as well as pleasure drives as scheduled.

What do we drive? More to the point, is there anything we don't drive. We've got Minis, Maxis and everything in between. It's a good "mind" that makes a driving animal and that comes in a lot of different wrappings.

Where do we drive? Well, we compete at fairs and shows, visit museums, display our turn-outs at historical and agricultural events and mosey down the trail... I guess there isn't anywhere we won't drive either!!

When do we drive? Spring gives us opportunities to plow and practice. Summer is perfect for Picnics. Autumn brings fair and show season, as well as harvesting events. And Winter ... well, sleigh bells do ring if you're listenin'. So I guess you could say ... Anytime.

Who drives? MHDA encourages everyone to try driving. Children and adults. Experienced horsemen and interested novices. We host clinics for people of all ages and abilities. Everyone can find their niche.
