EVERY Friday From March through November (Weather Permitting) - Join us at Elton Bailey's Silver Ledge Farm, 136 Hosner Mountain Road, Hopewell Junction, NY for a "Drive at Will" throughout the farm. Arrive mid-morning, bring picnic lunch. **Portions of the carriage drive cross SDHPA property therefore membership with MHDA and SDHPA is required, if you wish to drive within that one section of the farm.

January 13th - Meeting at 6PM. Bring Pot Luck Dinner to share. Van Wyck Homestead - 504 Route 9, Fishkill NY - (Route 9 & Route 84) Silent Auction please bring items to sell for the benefit of the club!
February 1st - Dick Lahey together with members of MHDA is hosting the New England Regional Carriage Association and Carriage Association of America at his home from 3-5 PM with tour of his carriage collection. 271 River Rd N, Wappingers Falls.
February 8th - Meeting - 7PM - Speaker Kevin Post, Farrier and Woodworker - Location: Route 32, Rosendale, NY
March 23rd - Luncheon meeting with Speaker. Andy Marcoux speaker "Driving Strateges for Every Day" Location: Eveready Diner, 6595 Route 9, Rhinebeck, NY. Arrive 11:30. Lunch at 12 noon. Presentation 1:00-2:00pm. Cost $25.
April 14 - Driving Clinic @ Loose Strife Farm, Kerhonkson, NY at 10:00 am, Pot Luck Luncheon, Meeting, open to MHDA and Guests. Note in case of rain, we may use the indoor arena.

May 18th - Dance MHDA & Draft Horse Club at the Ulster County Fairgrounds - 249 Libertyville Rd., New Paltz - Check back for more information

June 1st - Demonstration 9AM - "Driving 101" for Southern Dutchess Horse & Pony Association presented by MHDA Driving Team. At SDHAP Arena at 116 Hosner Mountain Rd, Hopewell Junction. Please join us for an Educational Fun Day, watch demonstration of ground driving, harnessing, hitching driving and more. All MHDA and SDHPA Members and guests welcome. Picnic area and Ample Parking.
June 8th - Picnic Drive at Elton Bailey's - arrive at 10AM -drive off at 11AM. Picnic following.
June 14th Friday- Hudson Valley Draft Horse Association and MHDA - Auction 7PM. Location: Bob Lawrence Farm, 39 Colandrea Rd, Newburgh, NY- Dick Lahey requests good, saleable items be brought between 6 and 7 PM
June 23rd - Weathersfield Drive -444 Pugsley Hill Rd., Amenia (Millbrook, NY) Arrive at 10AM Drive off at 11Am - $5.00 donation charge for Weathersfield will be collected - bring lunch for after drive.
July 6th - A Day at the Races! Goshen Historic Track, Goshen, NY. Races start at 1PM Come early and visit Hall of Fame or the Trotters.
July 13th - Rockefeller Drive - Meet at Rockefeller's at 10AM - drive off at 11AM Bring a picnic lunch for afterwards.
July 14th - Joint picnic with the Draft Horse Club at Stonykill Farm - NOON - with meeting after picnic (No horses) - 79 Farmstead Lane, Wappingers Falls.
August 1st - Light Horse Driving Show at the Ulster County Fairgrounds. (The Draft Horse show is August 2nd)
August 10th (Saturday) at 7PM - Meeting at Rose Family Farm, 330 Goshen Turnpike, Middletown, Bill Broe will present a cross training program to show the benefits of a riding program for a driving horse. Also, a vet from Pine Bush Equine will explain what to do in an emergency while waiting for the vet. Kerry Rose may be available to perform her musical dressage for our enjoyment.
September 15th - MHDA "Horse and Carriage Day" at Locust Grove, "The Samuel Morse Historic Site". Route 9, Poughkeepsie, NY. Parade of carriages begins at 1PM contact: Malcolm Mills bluhilfm@frontiernet.net
September 28th - TENTATIVE - Driving Show at the SDHPA Arena at Elton's
October 5th - Treasure Hunt Drive - 10AM - Location: Winkler's Journey's End Farm, 50 Cooks Lane, Gardiner, NY
October 27 Arrive 10Am Drive off 11Am - Sunday! Halloween Fun Day Drive & bring lunch for a Picnic after the drive at Elton Bailey's (see ** above) costumes (not scary to horses) would be nice but not necessary.
NOVEMBER 15th (3rd Friday!) - Annual Meeting & Election of Officers & Quiz Bowl Game- Ulster County Fair Grounds, 249 Libertyville Rd., New Paltz - 7PM.
